BRAIN

Most people would think that we have 1 brain. Many people would know that there are 2 halves of the brain.
But do you know that in fact we have 3 brains? Both physically and systemically?

The first system of the Triune Brain is physical. Physically, our brain is composed of 3 parts:
-
Reptilian brain
-
Mammal brain
-
Human brain

The reptilian brain is the most primal of the 3 brains. It is designed mainly for survival, and reproduction of the species. It is also responsible for reactions in fight or flight situations.

The mammal brain is the emotion-related mind - emotions, memories, habits & attachments.

The human brain is responsible for thought, imagination consciousness, reasoning and rationalizing.

The other system consists of the 3 "brains" in our body:
-
Cephalic brain
-
Cardiac brain
-
Enteric brain

PINEAL GLAND
The pineal gland, often referred to as the "third eye" in mystical and spiritual traditions, is a small, pea-sized endocrine gland located deep within the brain, in the epithalamus, between the two hemispheres. Despite its tiny size, it's had an outsized influence in both science and spirituality.

Anatomy and Function:
-
Endocrine Role: The pineal gland primarily produces the hormone melatonin, which regulates sleep patterns (the circadian rhythm). Melatonin production is influenced by light; it increases in darkness, promoting sleep, and decreases in light, helping to wake the body.
-
Biological "Clock": By releasing melatonin, the pineal gland helps synchronize the body’s internal clock with the external environment, governing sleep, wake cycles, and possibly even seasonal biological rhythms.

The pineal gland has captured the imagination of mystics, esoteric philosophers, and spiritual seekers for centuries, often seen as a bridge between the physical and spiritual realms.

Calcification of the Pineal Gland:
In modern times, there has been concern regarding the calcification of the pineal gland due to the buildup of calcium deposits, often as a result of factors like fluoride in drinking water, aluminum in our diet, or due to environmental toxins.

Some believe that calcification of the pineal gland leads to reduced function and spiritual blindness, making it more difficult to access higher consciousness or intuitive abilities. This has led many in the spiritual community to seek ways to decalcify the pineal gland—such as by reducing fluoride exposure, consuming detoxifying foods, or practicing spiritual exercises like meditation or breathwork.

Pineal Gland in Meditation and Awakening:

Activation Through Meditation: Many meditation techniques, especially those focused on the Ajna chakra, aim to activate the pineal gland, often thought to lead to a sense of expanded consciousness and higher awareness. Practices like Kundalini yoga, transcendental meditation, and breathing exercises are said to stimulate the pineal, encouraging its "opening."

Sensory Perception and "Inner Sight": In spiritual terms, the pineal is said to grant the ability to perceive beyond the physical realm—enhancing intuitive insight, inner vision, and even psychic phenomena. This "inner sight" is often described as a higher form of seeing, one that transcends the limitations of ordinary perception.

DMT and the Pineal Gland:

Dimethyltryptamine (DMT): One of the most tantalizing links between the pineal gland and spirituality involves the natural secretion of a substance known as DMT. DMT is a powerful psychedelic compound found in many plants, and there’s a theory (though not proven) that the pineal gland may produce small amounts of DMT in the body.

Some proponents of this theory suggest that DMT plays a role in dreams, near-death experiences, and visions during altered states of consciousness. DMT is sometimes referred to as the "spirit molecule" because of its profound effects on perception, often leading to vivid, mystical, and transcendent experiences.

Theories of Mystical Experiences: The idea that the pineal gland could produce DMT and thus facilitate these experiences ties into its association with enlightenment, otherworldly perceptions, and spiritual insight. This has led to theories that the pineal gland might be activated during meditation, deep prayer, or during transcendental moments, allowing access to a deeper understanding of reality.
