MEDICAL & HEALTHCARE MYTHS

Here are some of the medical myths circulating in society today:

FATS ARE UNHEALTHY
Fats are not unhealthy. Eating (natural) fats doesn't make you fat. Sugar & synthetic sweeteners make you fat.
In fact, fats are essential to health, and is a source of energy in times of survival. What is unhealthy are the trans-fats, those ultra-processed "food" produced by mordern industrial plants. Ultra-processed seed oils & vegetable oils are bad for the heart due to excessive Omega-6 fatty acids, are also the worst kind of oil to be used for cooking.
Use natural oils such as coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil, lard, ghee, tallow or suet instead. Use MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) oil whenever possible. Choose butter instead of margarine.

CHOLESTEROL IS UNHEALTHY
Cholesterol has been demonized, and made the scapegoat for many problems created by our modern lifestyle.
When the "medical" and "food" industry advised society to cut down on cholesterol, what happened?

First of all, our brain is made mainly of cholesterol. Without cholesterol, our brain will degenerate, resulting in a spike in neurodegenerative disorders such as dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Secondly, cholesterol is essential for the body to produce Vitamin D.

SUNLIGHT CAUSES SKIN CANCER
The sun doesn't cause skin cancer. Synthetic sunblock and sunscreen give you skin cancer.
However, sunlight doesn't give you Vitamin D either. It is your body that uses sunlight to convert the cholesterol in your body to convert to REAL Vitamin D, which in fact, is not a vitamin but a type of hormone. And guess what? Without sufficient cholesterol in your body, you are unable to utilize the sunlight to produce Vitamin D, and you get sunburn more easily.
Vitamin D is essential to both mental and physical wellbeing. That is also why people suffering from depression feel better after being in the sun after some time.

CALCIUM IS REQUIRED FOR STRONG BONES AND TEETH
While calcium plays a part in the formation of bones, calcium is not the most important nutrient for strong bones & teeth.

Imagine dropping a piece of chalk onto the floor. What happens? It'll probably break into pieces. Calcium makes your bones hard, but also brittle. What's worse, consuming excessive calcium without sufficient Vitamin D3, Vitamin K, potassium, magnesium & zinc may result in the calcification of your arteries.
Now imagine dipping a piece of chalk into a bottle of glue before dropping it again. Sure, it might also break or have some minor fractures. This is why collagen is more important than calcium. Collagen holds the bone structure in place, and while there may still be some damage after a fall, the damage will be greatly reduced, and are able to recover & heal much easily.

Collagen also helps in stronger tendons, cartilage, ligaments, and joint tissues (more than glucosamine and chondroitin combined).
Do note that the utilization of collagen can be affected by lack of sleep, stress level, and lack of Vitamin C.

SUGAR-FREE IS GOOD
The entire "sugar-free" thing is a scam to sell aspartame, and the many names used to disguise it. Aspartame is an artificial sweetener and a popular sugar substitute sold under the brand names Nutrasweet and Equal. It is present in low-calorie food and drinks and some medications. "Sugar-free" is not good for diabetics (and normal healthy people), and in fact causes more problems in the future.
Aspartame is worse than sugar, and is linked to cancer, metabolic, cardiovascular, and many neurodegenerative disorders in modern society.
