Mark Passio

Mark Passio is a controversial figure in the alternative knowledge, conspiracy theory, and esoteric spirituality communities. He is known for his intense, passionate, and sometimes confrontational delivery. His lectures often stretch many hours and are filled with dense references, symbolic interpretations, and detailed philosophical arguments. Passio’s tone has been polarizing — admired by those who resonate with his message, and off-putting to those who find it extreme or dogmatic.

Passio claims to be a former priest in the Church of Satan, and he often discusses his insider knowledge of occult practices. According to him, he eventually had a moral awakening and shifted his life's purpose toward exposing hidden knowledge and advocating for individual sovereignty. He is largely self-educated and runs a website called WhatOnEarthIsHappening.com, where he hosts a podcast series and archives a vast amount of his research and lectures.

Passio is best known for his work on topics like natural law, occult symbolism, freedom philosophy, and the dynamics of control systems, particularly what he calls the “occultocracy” — a hidden ruling class using ancient knowledge to manipulate the masses.

Natural Law is the cornerstone of Passio’s teachings. He defines natural law as:

"A set of universal, non-man-made, binding and immutable conditions that govern the consequences of human behavior."

He believes society's failure to understand and live by natural law is the root cause of human suffering and slavery (both physical and spiritual). His version of natural law is deeply moralistic, rooted in right vs. wrong action, and closely linked to objective morality. Passio strongly believes that everyone has to take responsibility for themselves, and be accountable for the actions that they have chosen.

Passio teaches that symbols used in government, media, religion, and corporate logos have esoteric meanings and are used to manipulate the subconscious. He argues that by decoding these symbols, individuals can become more aware of how psychological manipulation works.

According to Passio, we live under a globalist, hierarchical system of mind control where knowledge is deliberately hidden from the masses.

He believes that governments, organized religion, mainstream media, and financial systems are all arms of a larger control apparatus that enslaves humanity.

He promotes classical education models — Trivium (Grammar, Logic, Rhetoric) and Quadrivium (Arithmetic, Geometry, Music, Astronomy) — as tools for intellectual self-defense. Passio asserts that these systems are suppressed because they lead to critical thinking and sovereignty.

Passio tries to enlighten others on the slave mentality, and the mind control techniques used in the world that originated from ancient secret societies.

A big part of Passio’s philosophy is that inaction in the face of evil is itself evil. He criticizes the "New Age" movement for being overly passive, promoting detachment, and denying objective morality. He believes that real spirituality involves standing up against tyranny, not just meditating or “being love.”
