GNOSTICISM
ESOTERIC KRISTIANITY

Esoteric Kristianity (Christianity) refers to a mystical and symbolic interpretation of the teachings of Isa ben Yosef (Jesus the son of Joseph), also known as Isa HaKristos (Jesus The Christ) of the Christian tradition. Unlike mainstream Christianity, which focuses primarily on teachings of the False Apostle Paul, Esoteric Kristianity delves into the hidden or "occult" meanings behind biblical texts, the life of Kristos (Christ), and the spiritual practices.

The Gnostic Tradition
Esoteric Kristianity is closely tied to the Gnostic tradition, which was an early Christian movement that emphasized esoteric knowledge (gnosis) as the path to salvation. Gnostics believed that the material world was created by a lower, often malevolent deity known as the Demiurge (ie the Israelite "God" of the Bible), and that spiritual liberation could only be achieved through the knowledge of one’s divine nature. Gnostic texts like the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Mary offer alternative views of Jesus' teachings, often focusing more on inner spiritual awakening than external salvation.

Mysticism and Direct Experience of God
Esoteric Kristianity emphasizes direct, personal experience of the divine, the True God known as the Monad of the Pleroma. Through spiritual practices such as meditation, prayer, and contemplation, individuals can cultivate a deep, mystical connection with God. This form of Christianity is less concerned with external rituals and more focused on inner transformation and awakening.

Spiritual AlchemyAlchemical symbolism and sacred geometry are often integrated into the esoteric Kristianity worldview. Alchemy, in this context, is not just a literal quest to turn base metals into gold, but a metaphor for spiritual transformation. The "philosopher's stone" represents the ultimate goal of enlightenment, and the alchemical process parallels the purification of the soul.

"Christ"
Christ comes from the Greek word "Kristos" which in turn comes from the word "Messiah" from the Hebrew word "moshiach", which means "anointed one" or "chosen one". "To anoint" (as in applying oil or another substance) is a sign of consecration for a person chosen for a special task, such as a king, priest, or prophet.

The "Christ" Principle
One of the core concepts in Esoteric Kristianity is the "Christ Principle", better known as the "Kristos Consciousness", which suggests that the essence of Kristos is not confined to one individual in history but is a universal spiritual force that exists in all beings. This divine principle is often associated with love, wisdom, and the potential for spiritual enlightenment. It's believed that through Kristos’ teachings, humanity can access this higher state of consciousness and transcend material existence.
Kristos Consciousness
Kristos Consciousness is an awareness of the higher self as part of a universal system. Although it can be interpreted in a number of ways, a common understanding is that Krist Consciousness is the state of consciousness in which a person has found self-realization and unity with God or the Divine. In seeking Christ Consciousness, the idea is to transcend physical existence and experience one’s own divinity and God-like nature. Kristos Consciousness can be summarized as“the highest state of intellectual development and emotional maturity”. It is a path of love, peace, harmony and bliss, which leads to an understanding of the omnipresent higher power that connects all beings in the universe.
Kristos Consciousness is synonymous with the Yogic concept of samadhi with Brahman, the Buddhist concept of Nirvana, and the Daoist concept of unification with the Dao.

Symbolism in Scripture
The New Testament of the Bible, while heavily censored and edited, is not to be taken as a literal historical account, but as a symbolic and allegorical text. Biblical stories, teachings, and events are seen as metaphors for deeper spiritual truths. For example, the life of Jesus is interpreted as representing the soul’s journey from ignorance to enlightenment, with the crucifixion symbolizing the death of the ego and the resurrection representing spiritual rebirth.
