THE CIRCUIT BREAKER THEORY

C.B. ... Abbreviation for 'circuit breaker'.

As Dhamma practitioners, we should train ourselves to be like circuit breakers.
Why do I say so ?

Take the electrical current as unwholesome kamma (be it mental, verbal or physical), and the complete electrical circuit representing Samsara.

We should train ourselves to be like circuit breakers, being able to detect any arising of the electrical current (unwholesome kamma).

We may not be sensitive at first, maybe tripping at the setting of 230V. With practice, we may be able to deactivate the circuit at the setting of 120V.
The Arahants are the best circuit breakers. They are able to break the circuit at the slightest detection of the arising of unwholesome kamma.

This is Samma-Sati (Right Recollection). Whatever that we do, we should do it with reference to the Dhamma.
With the Dhamma as reference, we would be safe from committing unwholesome deeds that would lead us to further Dukkha.

Break the circuit. Be free from Samsara.
