THE ABRAHAMIC GOD: THE PERFECT, OMNIPRESENT, OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT, SUPREME BEING?

STOP !!!
This article is only for the eyes of wise, and open-minded individuals who currently believe in the existence of God.
If you are a narrow-minded, small-hearted person who feels at ease with blind faith .... PLEASE DO NOT PROCEED FURTHER !!!
If you are ready to take the bitter pill of the HARD TRUTH, please continue reading.
Note : This article is NOT intended to create religious disharmony.
The idea of God as the perfect, omnipresent, omnipotent & omniscient Supreme Being that represented law & order, morality & justice has always been one of the central teachings of Judaism & Christianity.
Now, with wisdom, let us see for ourselves whether it is true ...
It is interesting that Christianity claims to be the largest religion in the world when it is so fragmented while all claims to be anointed with the Holy Spirit.
The various sects each have their own distinctive beliefs and are often in disagreement with one another.
ON THE BIBLE
Credibility Of The Bible :
If the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit, why are there so many different accounts on the life of Jesus required ?
The Bible was full of scriptural discrepancies, and even inconsistencies between the Gospels themselves.
The core of the Christian teachings are based on the writings of Paul, someone who had not even met Jesus in person.
In fact, the New Testament-based religion should be called Paulism, and not Christianity ! The words of Paul had more power than the words of Jesus himself !
There has been many gospels written, but only few were selected and canonized by the Roman Church.
What's more, the gospels were written decades and even centuries after the Crucifixion, and even the authenticity of author of the gospels are in doubt.
Why were so many gospels omitted? What has been added in? How credible is the Bible after being edited and rearranged by the hands of a few men?
Isn't it ironic that the Bible was compiled by the people who killed Jesus?
Another interesting thing is that the church seldom encourage believers, especially new converts, to read the Old Testament. Some are even discouraged to read the Old Testament, claiming that those words of God are obsolete.
Some just quote a few 'selected' verses without even understanding the context. Why is this so? Because the Old Testament tells us the history of God, and of His true nature.
The content of the Old Testament is so terrible, it has to be censored and rated R21 if everything mentioned is to be made into a movie.
Simply, the Bible was edited and manipulated into making people being overcome by their own passion that it disables their ability to think clearly.
If you read the Bible like a storybook, most probably you would not find any problems. However, if you study it with a critical mind, you will find that many problems will start to emerge.
It would be hard to imagine you reading every passage of the Bible to your (young) children. Its contents would probably shock them.
And that's what it is supposed to do: Using fear/guilt/acceptance to make you believe.
Try to recall what made you become a Christian.
Here are some of the discrepancies in the New Testament. (We have not even started mentioning those in the Old Testament):
Mark 15:21-22 / Luke 23:26 / Matthew 27:32 / John 19:17
Matthew 27:33-34 / Mark 15:23 / John 19:28-30 / Mark 15:36 / Matthew 27:47-49
Mark 15:25 / John 19:14-16
Matthew 24:44 / Mark 15:32 / Luke 23:39-40
John 19:25 / Luke 23:49 / Mark 15:40-41 / Matthew 27:55-56
Matthew 27:46-52 / Mark 15:34-38 / Luke 23:45-46
Matthew 27:59-60 / Mark 15:45-46 / Luke 23:53 / John 19:38-42
Matthew 27:61 / Mark 15:47 / Luke 23:55
Matthew 28:1 / Mark 16:1-2 / Luke 24:1 / John 20:1
'Saint Paul'? The 13th Apostle – The False Prophet :
Paul has never seen Jesus, or trained under Jesus like the rest of the Apostles.
Paul 'became a follower of Christ' after being struck blind, and his sight later restored after 'a vision of Jesus' giving him new instructions.
The other Apostles were still alive at that time, so why would Jesus give instructions to another, when he could have simply instructed his own disciples?
After Paul saw his 'vision', he was not eager to meet the the Apostles who had been under the direct tutelage of Jesus.
In fact, the Apostles had many conflicts with Paul as he had many deviant teachings that contradicted those of Jesus. (Acts 21:22-24, Deuteronomy 18:20, Ezekiel 13:8-9)
Although Jesus said that he was only sent to the 12 Tribes of Israel (Matthew 15:24, Matthew 10:5-6), Paul proceeded with his evangelistic mission to convert the gentiles.
In other words, Paul went against the instruction of Jesus, yet people believed him anyway.
Paul was someone who had a good relationship with the Roman Empire and zealously persecuted the early followers of Jesus and violently tried to destroy the newly forming Christian Church.
What would the best way to destroy a religion? Mislead the believers, of course!
Although Judas betrayed Jesus (just as Peter denied Jesus thrice), Jesus did not reject him. In fact, Judas is crucial to Christianity, because if not for his betrayal, Jesus would have been called a liar and a fraud.

In many occasions, Jesus mentioned of 'the Twelve', and Jesus himself was one of the Twelve. Even after Judas' death, Matthias was chosen to be the successor … Not Paul !!

If God had chosen Paul as one of the Apostles, wouldn't the Holy Spirit inform the original Apostles of the new recruit and arrange for a meet-up?
Now, let's say in modern times, someone tells you that God has appeared to him through a vision,
and has given him new instructions that contradict the basic teachings. Would you believe him? Of course not !
So, why would you believe in Paul ?
However, it seems that the present Bible is made up of mainly writings by Paul, and those books that supported his teachings.
Ever wondered what happened to the rest of the gospels ? And who do you think ordered the canonisation of the Bible ?
ON THE 'GOD' CONCEPT
God: The Alpha & Omega? :
While the Abrahamic God prides Himself as the Alpha & Omega as He claims to be the first (and last) in the universe, this is nothing new.
Many other gods of other religions claim to have existed at the beginning of time.
And as a religion, Christianity is a very young religion. Even Judaism is relatively young compared to Sumerian, Babylonian, Egyptian and Greek religions.
Even in the case of Jesus, the myths of virgin birth, a saviour of the world, resurrection, and the end of times are nothing new. These have been mentioned in various other religions as well.
The Trinity, which was NEVER mentioned before in the Old Testament, be it by God or His prophets, was common in pagan religions.
The crucifix/cross, the symbol of Christianity, is a common symbol in other religions.
Again, adopted from the pagan religions that God detested so much in the Old Testament. So what makes the God of Israel more credible (and real) compared to the rest?
The One & Only God? :
If the Abrahamic God is the God of the Universe, why would there be a commandment of “You shall have no other gods before Me.”
Doesn't it contradict His claim to be the only God in the universe?
Who is this God jealous of? That would mean that there are other celestial beings outside His control, probably just as strong or even superior.
Why would the most powerful being in the universe be jealous of an inferior?
The Omnipresent God? :
If the God of Israel is the God of the Universe, and the One God of the world, why did he appear only to the people of Israel,
but not to the people in other countries as well ?
The Jews/Catholics/Christians are based in Jerusalem(Israel), the Muslims are based in Jerusalem & Mecca.
God does not appear or speak to people of other races.
Have you noticed that God is only known to people around that region.
If he is really the God of the world, why are the people of other parts of the world not aware of God's existence?
In fact, Jesus himself said that he was sent only to the 12 Tribes of Israel. (Matthew 15:24, Matthew 10:5-6)
It was Paul who approached the gentiles. In other words, Paul went against the instructions of Jesus. Yet, people believed him anyway.
Why is there favouritism when He is the God of the world? Doesn't everything belong to Him? Isn't He supposed to be fair and just?
On Things That Happen :
Jews & Christians are brainwashed into thinking that everything that happens is part of God's plan.
When something good happens, they will credit God for His blessings. When something bad happens, they will claim that it is a test from God.
In such a way, it is a 'fail-proof logic' to associate everything with God.
If such is the case, then whatever you do is part of God's plan, since He already knew what would happen and everything is under His control.
Such a teaching is a cowardly and irresponsible act of shedding accountability as everything is part of God's plan.
The Perfect God? :
As the perfect Creator, the products that God has created are all prone to destruction & decay.
How can a perfect factory, with perfect equipment and perfect machinery, using perfect material, produced highly flawed products?
(God probably forgot to create a team of Quality Control angels ...)
In the Bible, God is said to be a short-tempered and jealous God who often throws tantrums.
Even in the New Testament, there was a time when Jesus was at the temple, and he flew into a rage and overturned tables, kicked chairs, and scolded the money-lenders.
In the past, the Israelites had repeatedly sinned against God, breaking the commandments numerous times. Doing business in the temple ground is small case.
Is that a valid reason for losing his cool ? Why didn't God simply make them drop dead for their sins ?
There is another incident when Jesus was hungry and came across a fig tree. There were no fruits as it was not in season.
Jesus then became angry and cursed the tree, which withered and died. (Matthew 21:18-19)
How is it possible that God does not know the season of the trees that He had created ? Why couldn't Jesus simply commanded the tree to bear fruits ?
Since he could turn water into wine and even raise the dead, surely getting a fig tree to bear fruits would be a piece of cake for Him, wouldn't it?
Now, are these characteristics of a perfect being ?
The Omniscient & Omnipotent God? :
Why did God test Adam & Eve when, being omniscient, he already knew the result ?
If the serpent was to act as a tool for the test, why did God curse the serpent as well ?
It is like the principal punishing the teacher when the kindergarten student fails the university test.
Why didn't God just let Adam & Eve die without descendants, then restart Eden all over again ?
Why cause pain & suffering for so many generations to come ?
God knew that Adam & Eve would disobey him, and he purposely planted the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil for them.
Humans did not fall from grace .... they were pushed to their death by God.
The same question for God's motives to test Abraham & Isaac. Why bother to test them when he already knew the results ?!
Let's not talk about the humans who are 'inferior' beings. Take the angels for example.
The angels, unlike humans, are spirit beings, direct creations of God. They are well aware of God's power, capabilities & personality.
So, why did 1/3 of the angels rebel against him ?
They should be well aware that it's suicide to oppose the omnipotent Supreme Being ! Why did God send the other 2/3 of the angels to fight the rebels ?
Why didn't he simply use his power to make the rebels disappear ? If God is so perfect, why did the angels rebel in the first place ?
If God is omniscience, he would have known this would happen. So, why did he allow the rebellion to take place ?
Why did he create the rebellious angels in the first place ??
Also, if Jesus was prophesied to be betrayed (according to Christian teachings), why was Judas and the Jews condemned ?
Without them, Jesus would not be able to fulfil the (Christian) prophecies!
Assuming that God knew everything, and had the power to change anything if He wanted, it means that everything that happened was God's will. Therefore, Judas had no free-will. It was all God's plan.
Likewise for the Jews' years of slavery under Egypt.
If you read the Bible, God tells Moses that He had hardened the Pharoah's heart after he had agreed to free the Hebrews, ie God brainwashed the Pharoah.
And so, was it also God's plans for the atrocities by the Nazi and the Japanese imperial army during WWII ?
The different faces of God :
When God was with Abraham, He was like a father.
He walked and talked with Abraham in a casual manner on a daily basis.
When God was with Moses, He was like a tyrant.
He cannot be seen, and has to be shielded from view. And He ruled by fear and with an iron fist.
After Jesus was baptised by John, God basically disappeared and never talked to the public ever since.
Are you sure it has been the same God all this time? Or has it really been God all this time? Or is it a God at all?
God, Our Heavenly Father :
When we read the newspapers or watch the news on TV, we are shocked and appalled when we hear of abominable acts committed,
such as fathers drowning their children, burning their children, or locking their children in the cellar and torturing them everyday.
We find that these acts are brutal, inhuman, and repulsive.
There is no way that being moral, ethical, loving humans can we accept these acts and consider the perpetrators to be loving, merciful and kind fathers.
However, this is exactly the kind of 'Father' that God is.
Would a good and loving father drown (Noah's time) or burn his children (Sodom & Gomorrah) just for some acts of disobedience?
Would a good and loving father lock their children and torture them endlessly(Hell)?
If God really is eternal, our entire lifetime, or even generations, would be less than a fraction of a second to Him.
Would a sin lasting less than a fraction of a second justify eternal punishment in Hell?
The Moral & Righteous God? :
God plays favouritism. His Chosen People can blatantly disobey God as many times as they like and still be forgiven. Others simply get destroyed.
Is it fair & just for a God to absolve a hardcore criminal of all sins just because he believed in him?
Is it fair to sentence a good man to ETERNITY in hell for some petty sins committed over a few years in his life, just because he did not believe in God ?
Why would an omnipotent and omniscient God allow sin to exist in the world?
Why would a compassionate God create Hell to torture his creations for eternity due to a few decades of sin?
In that case, why does God create infants who die in the womb, those that die a premature death, children born with mental/physical disability?
Why doesn't God give everyone an opportunity to 'love' and serve him ?
Also, is it fair that He only appeared to people of Israel? What about the people in other countries of the world? Are they not His children as well?
God is Love? :
The claim that God is love is basically a farce. Note the following points:
-
God shows favours one race for no apparent reason but claims to be the God of the world. (Racism)
-
God shows favouritism to the firstborn males. God treats females as second-class, especially in the Old Testament.(Sexism)
-
God destroys those who oppose or do not believe in him. Eg. Sodom & Gomorrah. (Genocide)
-
God kills the innocent to show his power. Eg. The firstborns of Egypt. (Infanticide)
-
God loves blood sacrifices. He does not value the lives of the living beings that He had created. Eg. The plague in Egypt. (Cruelty to animals)
-
God loves watching people being stoned to death for petty crimes. (Sadism)
-
God mass-murders His own children, both humans & angels. (Cruelty)
-
God has plans to confine and torture His own children for eternity. (Injustice)
-
God love wars. However, he lets the angels & humans do the dirty job for him when he can simply make the enemies drop dead. (War-mongering)
-
If he wants them dead, why doesn't He do it Himself? Why not give them a swift and painless death ? (Sadism)
-
God curses humans and send them plagues to make them suffer. Then He offers Himself as a solution for their suffering. (Hegelian dialectic)
In many ways, God resemble the human governments:
-
Demands absolute loyalty.
-
Using war & violence to expand area of influence.
-
Favours one ethnicity over others.
-
Makes empty promises.
-
Uses "Bad Cop-Good Cop" tactic.
-
Creates evil to make His existence appear to be a 'necessity'.
How can you worship a God that allows and commit crimes that are even loathsome to us humans, supposedly to be inferior beings?
God is sexist:
1 Timothy 2:12
in which the saint says: “I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, she must be silent.”
Ephesians 5:22
“Wives, submit to you husbands as to the Lord”
God Ordering Murder & Theft:
Exodus 23:27
I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
Exodus 32:27-28
And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.
28 And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.
Leviticus 26:7-8
And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
Numbers 1:51
And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
Numbers 3:10
And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
Numbers 11:1
And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.
Numbers 25:16
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 25:17 Vex the Midianites, and smite them:
Numbers 31:7 And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.
31:8 And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
31:9 And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks,
and all their goods.
31:10 And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.
31:11 And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.
Deuteronomy 2:20
(That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;
2:21 A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:
2:22 As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them,
and dwelt in their stead even unto this day:
2:23 And the Avims which dwelt in Hazerim, even unto Azzah, the Caphtorims, which came forth out of Caphtor, destroyed them, and dwelt in their stead.)
2:30 But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.
2:31 And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his land.
2:32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.
2:33 And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
2:34 And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain:
2:35 Only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we took.
2:36 From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gilead,
there was not one city too strong for us: the LORD our God delivered all unto us:
2:37 Only unto the land of the children of Ammon thou camest not, nor unto any place of the river Jabbok, nor unto the cities in the mountains,
nor unto whatsoever the LORD our God forbad us.
Numbers 31
17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
The mass murders committed by and directed by Yahweh fills much of the Old Testament. The above scriptures are only a small sample.
Exodus 3
21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty.
22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:
and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.
Leviticus 14
34 When ye be come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy in a house of the land of your possession;
Numbers 31
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.
3 And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites,
and avenge the LORD of Midian.
4 Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.
5 So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
6 And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments,
and the trumpets to blow in his hand.
7 And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.
8 And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
9 And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks,
and all their goods.
10 And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.
11 And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.
The Idea Of Sin :
Sin, in biblical context, need not necessarily be an immoral deed. Any disobedience to God is considered a sin.
So, is a sinful man an evil man ? Not necessarily so ....
Where did the idea of 'original sin' come from ? It is basically a mental-shackle used to bind you to the religion using the concept of gratitude and guilt.
(Deuteronomy 24:16, Chronicles II 25:4,, Jeremiah 31:29-30, Ezekiel 18:20-22)
Without the concept of 'original sin', salvation would be worthless and unnecessary.
Even so, God Himself has admitted that He is an angry (one of the seven deadly sins) God, a jealous (another of the seven deadly sins) God.
And with the heinous crimes mentioned above under the header [God is Love?] that are atrocious even to humans, do you still think that God is righteous?
Creation of Humans :
Interestingly, according to the Bible, God created the universe just by the Word of God.
Why would God need to make Adam out of dirt, and Eve from a rib of Adam?
Why couldn't God just will them into existence?
God & Free-will :
God has given you a 'will' to choose. But that is not free will. If it was free will, you would be allowed to worship whichever god you prefer,
do what you like (as long as it is ethical and socially responsible),
eat what you like, and yet, not get penalised for it.
By subjugating yourselves to be 'under God' is basically an admission into slavery.
If God claims to know the past, present and future, basically He is admitting that everything that everything is under His control,
and all things – both good and evil – are His doing.
Therefore, how can he penalise His creations who are just doing His will?
And if there is free will, how is it that everything is God's plan?
On The Forgiveness Of Sins :
Why does God need offerings & sacrifices, when everything is created by him and thus belonged to him?
Why must God let Jesus die so that he can forgive all mankind? Why can't he JUST FORGIVE?

What Are Humans to God? :
Does God really love Mankind? What are humans to God?
From what mentioned in the Bible, Man was created to be the caretaker of the Earth. It was with the purpose to serve God.
Therefore, we are just servants created with a mission. It was not out of love. How can you love something that has not existed yet?
Take a look at the people & animals of Egypt, as well as the children of Job. God kills humans just to prove His power or to win a debate.
He does not value life at all.
Thus, it is reasonable to say that God loves Himself, therefore He created Man.
To God, humans are just like the various components in a computer. Defective? Replace. Incompatible? Delete. Corrupted? Format.
God did it once During Noah's time, and He will do it again, only that the next time He will be using fire instead of water.
Humans are dispensable 'tools' to God. The Bible tells us so. This mentality is shown by His commands regarding slavery.

God & Slavery :
In many parts of the Bible, the ancient Israelites took slaves for themselves, despite being slaves themselves while they were still in Egypt.
Slavery is a practice that is abhorred even by humans.
However, God did not reprimand them. In fact, He encouraged and ordered them to take slaves.
God even gave instructions on how to punish and trade slaves.
Why does God support slavery? The reason is simple. The relationship between God and the 'people of the Book' is the 'Master & Slave' relationship.
That is NOT love.
1 Peter 2:18
“Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel.”
Is such a God worthy of your worship? Why does God condone slavery? Simple: He is the biggest slave master.
On Miracles :
In the Bible, there are several accounts of God showing His power through the display of miracles.
However, there is no way that we can be sure that God exists.
If a person thinks that God exists because miracles exist, then it is like believing that Superman exists because New York exists.
The person is believing in the miracle, and not God.
On Prayers :
Christianity often teaches that 'God always listens to your prayers. It's only a matter of time when he will respond to them'.
When your prayers are 'answered', be it by coincidence or circumstances, believers will claim that it's God's will.
When nothing happens, they claim that it is not time yet, or God has better plans for them.
Therefore, the prophecies may never happen, prayers not answered, but even upon their death, people still believe in them anyway.
In such a way, be it God's prophecies or prayers to God, they are just empty promises, and no matter what happens .... God always 'wins'.
The Messiah Prophecies :
-
The Sanhedrin will be re-established (Isaiah 1:26)
-
Once he is King, leaders of other nations will look to him for guidance (Isaiah 2:4)
-
The whole world will worship the One God of Israel (Isaiah 2:17)
-
He will be descended from King David (Isaiah 11:1) via King Solomon (1 Chron. 22:8–10)

-
He will then perfect the entire world to serve God together (Zephaniah 3:9)
-
Jews will know the Torah without study (Jeremiah 31:33)
-
He will take the barren land and make it abundant and fruitful (Isaiah 51:3, Amos 9:13–15, Ezekiel 36:29–30, Isaiah 11:6–9)
How many of the above prophecies have been fulfilled by Jesus? Unless ALL of them have been fulfilled, he cannot claim to be the Messiah.
Like Jesus, there have been many other self-proclaimed messiah in the history of mankind.
All of them did not fulfil all the prophecies... and all of them died.
God As Trinity :
The most basic of God's teaching is : "Hear, O Israel ! YHWH is God, YHWH is one !"
In the gospels, Jesus himself mentioned several times that he is not God, that the Father is the one & only God, and that he is just doing the will of God, not of himself.
As a well-versed Jew, Jesus clearly knows that, but his apostles obviously are quite ignorant. (And that the Holy Spirit did not do a good job ?)
God & Jesus did not teach of a 'Trinity', neither is the word 'Trinity' mentioned anywhere in the Bible.
Both the Athanasian Creed and the Nicene Creed are creeds made by men, not by God.
In fact, Jesus only claims to be the Son of God, and not God himself.
(John 20:17, Mark 10:18, Mark 15:34, John 5:30, Mark 13:32, Corinthians I 11:3)
In the Bible, Jesus is said to have prayed to God. If he is God, it would not be necessary !
(Luke 5:16, Luke 22:44, Matthew 26:36, Hebrew 5:7, Mark 15:34)
However, Jesus is also not the first 'Son of God'. This term had been used many times in the Bible :
(Exodus 4:22, Deuteronomy 14:1, Psalms 68:5, II Samuel 7:13-14, I Chronicles 22:10, Matthew 5:9, Matthew 5:45, Matthew 23:9, Romans 8:14, Romans 8:16, John 11:52, Corinthians I 6:18)
Virgin Birth :
If Jesus is born of a virgin birth, and not as a result from sexual intercourse of Joseph & Mary,
that means that Jesus is not in the lineage of Abraham-Isaac-Jacob-David, and therefore cannot be the prophesied Messiah !
The so-called messiah prophecies that Jesus 'fulfilled' were not those foretold by God's prophets, but came into being at that time.
Many were results of mistranslations/misinterpretations.
Anyway, there had been many self-proclaimed messiahs who also did not fulfil the (true) Messiah Prophecies. Having another one is no big deal.
In fact, there have been many great men from different countries that have been said to be born of a virgin birth. An example is Melchizedech.
(Hebrews 7:3)
Also, if Mary became pregnant via the Holy Spirit, then God is no different from the Greek gods who mate with humans.
And if God had 'mated' with Mary, then He is no different from the fallen angels who married humans and gave birth to the Nephelim
(that God had condemned to the depths of Tartarus).
In fact, God is worse, because at least the fallen angels had loved their wives, and took up the responsibility to marry them.
Completing The Law Of Moses :
Jesus was born a Jew, well-versed in the Jewish teachings, and even proclaimed that he is here to complete the Law (of Moses).
'To complete' is to perfect or to fill in the inadequate. It is not to render it obsolete !! (Matthew 5:17-19, Luke 16:1)
(Now, isn't the Law of God supposed to be perfect ? Hmmm …)
Why do people believe in Christianity? :
Someone may ask : What is the reason for people believing in Christianity ?
In the Old Testament, God used the 'hard' method to get humans to obey Him, often demanding absolute obedience to Him.
After centuries of failure, God had to resort to 'soft' method, sending His Son to earth, telling humans that God loves them.
The term 'original sin' comes into being, using psychological warfare to brainwash humans that since they are sinners,
it is only right that they redeem the sins of their ancestors and be faithful to God.
Making use of the feeling of guilt in them, God then demands that humans have absolute faith in Him.
But one thing for sure: It is the easiest way out. You are saved 'just be believing'. You can sin, but can always be forgiven.
Minimal effort, 100% guaranteed salvation. What a great way to be relieved of all responsibility!
But just imagine: You, living in a heaven filled with nasty people and criminals who believed in God. For eternity.
Other reasons would be material gains. It is quite common to see that many successful people in the world believe in God.
Others would then assume that their success is due to the blessings of God.
If you study the Bible carefully, God frequently promises his believers that :
- they would be fruitful (family & companionship)
- prosperity (wealth)
- known to all nations (fame)
- rulers of nations (power)
Evangelism :
God uses rewards of eternal life in heaven, or worldly blessings to attract followers.
If blessings do not work, then the fear of eternal damnation in hell will be used.
Victims will then be 'brainwashed', or pressurized into converting by guilt of 'original sin', or by the fear of God.
When there is fear, that is not love.
I believe that when religions are born in turmoil, politics is a strong factor of influence
(eg. Judaism, Catholicism, Christianity, Tibetan Buddhism, Japanese Buddhism ... etc).
These religions are territorial, and their motive is to unite the people together.
However, there are a few religions that are without boundaries, and teaches mankind as a whole (eg. Bahaism, Jainism, Buddhism)
It is humans who make use of religions to brainwash the unthinking, simple folks into believing them,
and thus sometimes cheating them of their hard-earned savings.
Greed & lust for power are usually the corrupting factors ....
Some people may claim that it is the followers who corrupt the religion, and that their religion is not in the wrong.
However, I disagree. Let me quote 2 examples :
Example 1 :
Buddhism teaches AHIMSA (non-violence), yet the Shaolin monks took part in a violent rebellion against the Qing empire.
This is wrong on the part of the followers.
Example 2 :
In the Bible, God instructed his people to wage war and destroy those who do not believe in Him, wiping out several civilizations.
This is wrong on the part of the religion.
If God thinks that the civilizations have sinned against Him, then why don't he just cut short their lifespan Himself ?
It would be much easier, and there would have been zero casualties on His side. Why get His people to commit murder in the name of religion ?
Truly, we are here to discuss, not to condemn other religions.
Indeed, Buddhism has taken a long time to reach out to the masses. Therefore we must understand why !
Christianity/Catholicism is the largest religion in the world, but if we look closely, we find that the religion itself consists of many minor sects
(eg. Gnostics, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, Jehovah's Witnesses ... etc).
They do not agree with each other in most of their beliefs, therefore we cannot consider them as one religion.
So, why is it that they can spread their religion so quickly ? Over the centuries, wars have been waged, battles have been fought,
and religion spread by way of force, by the sword, and the spilling of blood.
Those who believe are spared, and those who do not convert or are contradicting their beliefs are treated as cults, or as warlocks/witches.
And they were tortured and killed.
Consider the Inquisition, the Crusades, the witch-hunts and the development of the modern-day Bible
(Research : Emperor Constantine, Athanasian Creed, Nicean Creed).
The modern-day method would be by economic conquest : colonization.
It is the tyrannic mentality of "those who are with me, are my people. Those who are not, are my enemies". A God symbolizing love, compassion, righteousness and justice should not possess such mentality.
'Love' of God is just a delusion to trick people into obeying God. Psychological slavery is more like it.
Famous Quotes :

Greek philosopher, Epicurus (341-270 BCE)
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
British philosopher, David Hume (1711-1776)
If the evil in the world is from the intention of God, then he is not benevolent.
If the evil in the world is contrary to his intention, then he is not omnipotent.
But it is either in accordance with his intention or contrary to it.
Therefore, either God is not benevolent or he is not omnipotent.
